11U Cougars reach final four in 9th straight tournament, dating back to 2019.

The 11u Cougars competed hard July 24-26 in the JP Sports Wheeling Tournament.  A final inning home run by Nick Mandra led to an eventual tie with the Libertyville Wildcats in the preliminary game.  The Cougars then defeated The Mac Nationals of Crystal Lake 12-2 and Elite Baseball 13-7, to reach the semifinals for the 9th straight tournament.  In the semifinal game against the New Lenox Rebels, the Cougars scored 2 in the final inning to win in comeback, walkoff fashion.  Mason Hopkins had the walkoff hit, while Donovan O'Connor scored the winning run.  Gio Rangel and Jack Nahumyk homered in earlier action.  The subsequent Championship game was suspended due to rain in the third inning, with the Cougars behind, but rallying, and the bases loaded.  The Cougars fought hard all weekend.  Congratulations, again on a great effort!
