Cougars 11U baseball team had another successful tournament weekend July 9-12, going 3-1, and reaching the semifinals. The Cougars defeated the Tinley Park Bulldogs 17-3 in the first game. Gio Rangel, Nick Mandra, and Josh Landry were the hitting stars, while Josh Bobrowski pitched 3 shutout innings. In the next pool play game, the Cougars defeated the Illinois Celtics 17-2. Jack Nahumyk collected 2 hits, Elliott Bastedo hit a grand slam, and James White pitched 2 scoreless innings. In the quarterfinal game, the Cougars again defeated the Tinley Park Bulldogs 13-9, before falling in the semifinals in the third game of the day. Grant Hickman went 2 for 2 in the quarterfinal game, while Donovan O'Connor and Charlie Schwarz collected 3 hits each in bracket play. Jack Schaul added a run scored in the quarterfinal game, while Mason Hopkins pitched 3 innings during bracket play. Congratulations, Cougars!
